Single-minded for the gospel

Today we continue in our sermon series looking at Paul’s letter to the Philippians and what it means to be partners in the gospel. This morning, Nigel Styles helped us to look at verses 12 – 26 of chapter 1 and to consider Paul’s ambition that the gospel advances, that Christ is proclaimed and how each day should be used for fruitful labour for the gospel.

The Model Church

A Model Church
Today we start a new sermon series looking at Paul’s letter to the Philippians. This morning, Nigel Styles helped us to look at verses 1-11 of chapter 1 in his sermon entitled ‘The model church’.

Is it worth getting out of bed for?

This is the sermon from Sunday 30th March, looking at 1 Corinthains 15:1-11 and 50-58. Today Nigel Styles helps us to look at this passage and to consider how the resurrection of the Lord Jesus shows that the Christian will be changed for heaven and also that the resurrection of Jesus shows that God will destroy death.

Verse 58 gives us three practicle points of application for this passage:
1. The Christian must stand firm
2. Work for Jesus is never in vain
3. The Christian should abound in the work of the Lord.

… eyes … hands … ears … mouths (Easter Sunday)

This is the sermon from Sunday 23rd March looking at Luke 24:36-49 by Nigel Styles. Today Nigel helps us to look at Lukes account of the events of Easter, thinking about the absolute proof that Jesus has defeated sin and death on the cross. Today’s title for the sermon is ‘… eyes … hands … ears … mouths’.
