Today we’re continuing our new sermon series. Usually at Emmanuel, we work through books of the bible, but now and again, we do something slightly different and think about particular themes for our bible talks. That’s what we’re going to do for the next couple of months as we start our new series called Truth to live by. Each week, we’ll be focusing in on 1 or 2 verses; seeing them in their biblical context and seeing the bible truths that they teach us for us to hold onto. Today Richard helped us to see how Jesus is in heavern as we heard from Hebrews 1:1-4.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
