BITESIZE
Richard & Rich tell us about the carol services and how we can make best use of them.
BIBLE READING
Even though we get tired and weak, God never does, as he tells us through Isaiah.
Isaiah 40:25-31
To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?’ says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
Why do you complain, Jacob?
Why do you say, Israel,
‘My way is hidden from the Lord;
my cause is disregarded by my God’?
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
No-one is like our God! Let’s praise Him together.

PRAYERS
Church member Brian leads us in prayer.
Ephesians speaks to us about how wonderful it is to be part of Gods’ church, our next song celebrates that.
SONG
In the next video Abby Baird introduces the children’s material for today, Rosie Hopkins reads the bible passage which Paul then speaks on.
BIBLE READING read by Rosie Hopkins – Ephesians 3:14-21
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.

SONG
Strength will rise
as we wait upon the Lord,
we will wait upon the Lord,
we will wait upon the Lord. (repeat)
Our God, you reign forever.
Our hope, our strong deliverer.
You are the everlasting God,
the everlasting God.
You do not faint, you won’t grow weary.
You’re the defender of the weak,
you comfort those in need,
you lift us up on wings like eagles.
