SONG
My worth is not in what I own;
not in the strength of flesh and bone
But in the costly wounds of love at the cross.
My worth is not in skill or name;
in win or lose, in pride or shame.
But in the blood of Christ that flowed at the cross.
I rejoice in my Redeemer, greatest treasure,
wellspring of my soul.
I will trust in Him, no other;
my soul is satisfied in Him alone.
As summer flowers fade and die;
Fame, youth and beauty hurry by.
But life eternal calls to us at the cross.
I will not boast in wealth or might,
or human wisdom’s fleeting light
But I will boast in knowing Christ at the cross.
Two wonders here that I confess:
My worth and my unworthiness.
My value fixed my ransom paid at the cross.
WELCOME
SONG
Lift high the name of Jesus
of Jesus our King.
Make known the power of His grace,
the beauty of His peace.
Remember how His mercy reached
and we cried out to Him.
He lifted us to solid ground,
to freedom from our sin.
Oh sing my soul,
and tell all He’s done,
till the earth and heavens are filled with His glory!
Lift high the name of Jesus,
of Jesus our Lord.
His power in us is greater than,
is greater than this world.
To share the reason for our hope,
to serve with love and grace,
that all who see Him shine through us
might bring the Father praise.
Lift high the name of Jesus,
of Jesus our Light.
No other name on earth can save,
can raise a soul to life.
He opens up our eyes to see
the harvest He has grown.
We labour in His fields of grace
as He leads sinners home.

SONG
I’m following the King
I’m ready to obey
To listen to His word.
Yes! Jesus is my King
I’m living now for Him
‘Cos Jesus is my King
I don’t deserve His mercy
I don’t deserve His love
And yet He died to save me
Died upon the cross
I’m following the King
I’m ready to obey
To listen to His word.
Yes! Jesus is my King
I’m living now for Him
‘Cos Jesus is my King
I’m following the King.
I’m ready to obey
To listen to His word.
Yes! Jesus is my King
I’m living now for Him, ‘Cos Jesus is my
Jesus is my, Jesus is my King
BIBLE READING
Luke 8:4-15
4 And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable: 5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. 8 And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
9 And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, 10 he said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand’. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. 14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. 15 As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
BIBLE TALK
SONG
From the breaking of the dawn
to the setting of the sun,
I will stand on every promise of your word.
Words of power, strong to save,
that will never pass away;
I will stand on every promise of your word.
For your covenant is sure,
and on this I am secure:
I can stand on every promise of your word.
When I stumble and I sin,
condemnation pressing in,
I will stand on every promise of your word.
You are faithful to forgive,
that in freedom I might live,
so I stand on every promise of your word.
Guilt to innocence restored;
you remember sins no more.
So I’ll stand on every promise of your word.
When I’m faced with anguished choice,
I will listen to your voice,
and I’ll stand on every promise of your word.
Through this dark and troubled land,
you will guide me with your hand
as I stand on every promise of your word.
And you’ve promised to complete
every work begun in me
so I’ll stand on every promise of your word.
Hope that lifts me from despair;
love that casts out every fear
as I stand on every promise of your word.
Not forsaken, not alone,
for the Comforter has come.
And I stand on every promise of your word.
Grace sufficient, grace for me,
grace for all who will believe.
We will stand on every promise of your word.
PRAYERS
SONG
To God be the glory,
great things He has done.
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son
who yielded His life an atonement for sin
and opened the life-gate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice.
Come to the Father through Jesus the Son
Give Him the glory; great things He has done.
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
to every believer the promise of God.
The vilest offender who truly believes,
that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Great things He has taught us,
great things He has done,
and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son.
But purer and higher and greater will be
our wonder, our worship when Jesus we see.
