Watch the video as Richard welcomes us.

God deserves all our praises so let’s praise him now.

In our bitesize, Richard catches up with some old friends of Emmanuel.

In our first reading Peter encourages us that we can and should aim to live holy lives.

2 Peter 1:3-11

“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

In our next song we praise God for how holy he is.

Paul leads us in prayer.

As we come to look at the bible, we ask God to change us by his Spirit.

BIBLE TALK with kids Introduction & Reading

Psalm 15
The person who is fit to live with God:
1) Aims to do what is right v2,
2) Doesn’t speak badly of others v3,
3) Admires the right people v4a,
4) Handles money with integrity v4b-5.
– Recognise this is not our natural condition,
– Turn to Jesus who is fit to live with God,
– Seek to live like this.

Our last two songs challenge us to live like God has called us to.

Hear the call of the kingdom
lift your eyes to the King.
Let his song rise within you
as a fragrant offering,
of how God, rich in mercy,
came in Christ to redeem
all who trust in his unfailing grace.

Hear the call of the kingdom
to be children of light,
with the mercy of heaven,
the humility of Christ.
Walking justly before Him,
loving all that is right,
that the life of Christ
may shine through us.

King of heaven, we will answer the call;
we will follow, bringing hope to the world,
filled with passion,
filled with power to proclaim
salvation in Jesus’ name.

Hear the call of the kingdom
to reach out to the lost,
with the Father’s compassion
in the wonder of the cross,
bringing peace and forgiveness,
and a hope yet to come;
let the nations put their trust in Him
