WELCOME

SONG

All creatures of our God and King,
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou, burning sun with golden beam,
Thou, silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, Three-in-One
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

All the redeemed washed by His blood
Come and rejoice in His great love
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Christ has defeated every sin,
Cast all your burdens now on Him
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

He shall return in pow’r to reign,
Heaven and earth will join to say
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Then who shall fall on bended knee?
All creatures of our God and King
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

PRAYERS

SONG

All my days, I will sing this song of gladness,
give my praise to the Fountain of delights.
For in my helplessness you heard my cry,
and waves of mercy poured down on my life.

I will trust in the cross of my Redeemer;
I will sing of the blood that never fails,
of sins forgiven, of conscience cleansed,
of death defeated and life without end.

Beautiful Saviour, Wonderful Counsellor,
clothed in majesty, Lord of history,
You’re the Way, the Truth, the Life.
Star of the Morning. Glorious in holiness.
You’re the Risen One, Heaven’s Champion,
and You reign, You reign over all.

I long to be, where the praise is never ending;
yearn to dwell where the glory never fades,
where countless worshipers will share one song;
and cries of “worthy” will honour the Lamb!

BIBLE READING

Exodus 14:30-15:21

 Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying,

“I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
    the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
The Lord is my strength and my song,
    and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
    my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
The Lord is a man of war;
    the Lord is his name.
“Pharaoh’s chariots and his host he cast into the sea,
    and his chosen officers were sunk in the Red Sea.
The floods covered them;
    they went down into the depths like a stone.
Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power,
    your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.
In the greatness of your majesty you overthrow your adversaries;
    you send out your fury; it consumes them like stubble.
At the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up;
    the floods stood up in a pile;
    the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake,
    I will divide the spoil, my desire shall have its fill of them.
    I will draw my sword; my hand shall destroy them.’
10 You blew with your wind; the sea covered them;
    they sank like lead in the mighty waters.
11 “Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods?
    Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
    awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?
12 You stretched out your right hand;
    the earth swallowed them.
13 “You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed;
    you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.
14 The peoples have heard; they tremble;
    pangs have seized the inhabitants of Philistia.
15 Now are the chiefs of Edom dismayed;
    trembling seizes the leaders of Moab;
    all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.
16 Terror and dread fall upon them;
    because of the greatness of your arm, they are still as a stone,
till your people, O Lord, pass by,
    till the people pass by whom you have purchased.
17 You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain,
    the place, O Lord, which you have made for your abode,
    the sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have established.
18 The Lord will reign for ever and ever.”

19 For when the horses of Pharaoh with his chariots and his horsemen went into the sea, the Lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them, but the people of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea. 20 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing. 21 And Miriam sang to them:

“Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”

BIBLE TALK

SONG

I cast my mind to Calvary;
Where Jesus bled and died for me.
I see His wounds, His hands, His feet.
My Saviour on that cursed tree

His body bound and drenched in tears
They laid Him down in Joseph’s tomb.
The entrance sealed by heavy stone,
Messiah still and all alone.

O praise the name of the Lord our God.
O praise His name forever more
For endless days we will sing Your praise.
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

Then on the third at break of dawn,
The Son of heaven rose again.
O trampled death where is your sting?
The angels roar for Christ the King!

He shall return in robes of white,
The blazing Son shall pierce the night.
And I will rise among the saints,
My gaze transfixed on Jesus’ face.

CONFESSION

Lord God, you created all things.
Each of us owes everything to you
and ought to serve you wholeheartedly.
Thank you for all you have given us.

But we have all sinned
and failed to acknowledge you as God.
In turn, we deserve nothing but shame.
We are sorry for many sins.

Thank you that in love
you sent your Son Jesus Christ to us.
He lived a sinless life, pleasing to you.
Yet He died a shameful death in our place.
Thank you for His death for us.

Then you raised Him from the dead,
conquering sin, death and hell.
In Him new life and His righteousness
are given to those who believe.
Thank you for His glorious resurrection.

To all who trust in Him,
you pour out your Holy Spirit,
equipping us to live for you
and making us more like Jesus day by day.
Thank you for your life-changing Spirit.

This past week, we have had ups and downs.
In our battle with sin, sometimes we triumphed
and sometimes we have given in.
Thank you for those victories.
We are sorry for our failures.

You promise to strengthen and keep
all who continue in repentance and faith
until you bring us home to glory.
Thank you for these wonderful truths.
Please help us to believe them now and to go
on believing them.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

The Lord Jesus told us to eat and drink this supper to
proclaim his death until he comes again.

Heavenly Father, it is our privilege to remind one another
that you gave your only Son to die on the cross for our redemption.
By his death, as the one perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ has offered
all that was needed to take away the sins of the world. By rising to
life, he has assured us of our resurrection to eternal life.
By ascending to your right hand in heaven, he has poured out your
promised Holy Spirit, equipping us to serve you.

How wonderful you are, our God and Saviour! How rich in mercy!
How great the love with which you loved us! You have blessed us
in Christ with every spiritual blessing!

Therefore with your whole creation,
and with all your people since time began,
and with all the thousands upon thousands gathered now
around your heavenly throne,
we honour and glorify you, saying together:

To him who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb,
be blessing and honour
and glory and might
for ever and ever. Amen.

SONG & DISTRIBUTION

Here is love, vast as the ocean
loving kindness as the flood.
When the prince of life, our ransom,
shed for us his precious blood.
Who his love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing his praise?
He can never be forgotten,
throughout heaven’s eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion
fountains opened deep and wide;
through the floodgates of God’s mercy
flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
poured incessant from above,
and heaven’s peace and perfect justice
kissed a guilty world in love.

In your truth you do direct me,
by your Spirit through your Word;
and your grace my need is meeting,
as I trust in you, my Lord.
Onto me, though undeserving,
your great love forever pours,
ithout measure, full and boundless,
drawing out my heart to yours.

Let me, all your love accepting,
love you ever all my days;
Let me seek your kingdom only
and my life be to your praise.
You alone shall be my glory,
nothing in the world I see.
You have cleansed and sanctified me.
You yourself have set me free.

On the night he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread,
and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples,
saying, ‘This is my body given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’
Father we eat in remembrance of Jesus.

In the same way he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant
in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’
Father we drink in remembrance of Jesus.

SONG

Oh for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer’s praise,
my great Redeemer’s praise.
The glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of His grace,
the triumphs of His grace,
the triumphs of His grace,
the triumphs of His grace.

Jesus! The name that calms our fears,
that bids our sorrows cease,
that bids our sorrows cease;
’tis music in the sinner’s ears;
’tis life, and health, and peace,
’tis life, and health, and peace,
’tis life, and health, and peace,
’tis life, and health, and peace.

He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
he sets the prisoner free, he sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean,
His blood availed for me,
His blood availed for me,
His blood availed for me, His blood availed for me.

He speaks, and, listening to His voice,
new life the dead receive, new life the dead receive.
The mournful, broken hearts rejoice,
the humble poor believe,
the humble poor believe,
the humble poor believe, the humble poor believe.

Hear Him, you deaf; His praise you dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ,
Your loosened tongues employ;
You blind, behold your saviour come;
and leap, you lame for joy,
and leap, you lame for joy,
and leap, you lame for joy,
and leap, you lame for joy.

My gracious Master and my God,
assist me to proclaim, assist me to proclaim,
to spread through all the earth abroad
the honours of your name,
the honours of your name,
the honours of your name,
the honours of your name.
