Imagine if Jesus, as a grown man, returned to Bethlehem to visit the stable where He was born. What would He say to the innkeeper? How do the cross and the resurrection make sense of all the terrible suffering in this world?
John Piper wrote this poem a number of years ago to help us ponder how God brings hope into awful times. The coming of Jesus, first time round and the time still to come, brings hope of a better country beyond this world. In this video, the author invites us to sit with him by the fire as we marvel at our God who was made a man in order to transform the world.
